Accelerated Doctoral Programs

In many professions, earning a doctorate is an important step in reaching the pinnacle of your field.

A doctorate is also a major boost to your paycheck, with someone who has earned a PhD earning an average of $37,000 more per year than their counterparts with a bachelors degree.

Some colleges and universities offer accelerated doctoral programs by giving credit for on-the-job experience. But most respected programs do not offer accelerated doctoral programs.

Instead, it takes an average of fives years of commitment to earn your doctorate, whether you choose to take classes online or in a traditional classroom.

While accelerated doctoral programs are difficult  to come by, the chance to earn an elite degree that will make you a leader in your field and give you the education you need to earn a position as a full professor offers plenty of reasons to return to school to earn your doctoral degree.

Schools that offer accelerated doctoral programs should be looked upon with caution. Make sure that you research whether they are accredited and by whom so that you don’t get taken in by a so-called “diploma mill.” You want to earn a degree that is respected by your potential employers to make it worth your while.

While an accelerated doctoral degree is hard to come by, a doctorate is worth the time, level and commitment for those who are ambitious and passionate about their field.
